Can I backup VM's on the fly?

Basically, yes. However, you need to know that databases may be inconsistent with a Hot Backup. Say a backup of the virtual machine in operation. You must therefore dump your databases with our software. This happens on Windows and Linux with Batch script via a shell. After that you can take a Snapshot oder the virtual machine.
